A caterpillar sheds skin and morphs into a pupa
The darkness that is within could fill up a jar
The clock that's always ticking, the sound that plays in your head
Reminding you it's passing, until all is dead
I am looking for someone who can see through these lies
The shadows that haunt me know how to disguise
Forgive me, old father, I am not who you want
Forgive me, the angels who have watched me till dawn
The face I always try on forsakes the colour inside
The cloak that I have forgone flies back full of pride
Collecting all of our sins, and hide them under ocean
Pretend they've not been seen, ignore the omen
Will you stay for a while
With the flowers of the Nile?
Cry away, cry away
Until the day that you're okay
Show me all of your scars
And let them shine under the stars
Cry away, cry away
Until the day that we're okay
To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had. Well, I wouldn't say that the music of "Section IV" defies genres... in my opionion, it belongs to the neo-prog genre without any doubt. But on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with that. The important thing is that the band contributes great new work to the genre, helping to keep it alive. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)

Discovered this album by investigating other peoples collections. Its worth getting just for the opening track alone. Such a beautiful melodious song. The whole album is good and well produced a great find. Lush arrangements give it that bit extra.
Fantastic piece of work. Brian White
