Hey mister artist, how do you do?
You look so lost and without aim
Your art is beautiful, it's true
And everyone else says the same
Hey mister artist, will you save me?
I know you seek a different path
It's not too hard, I'll set you free
And bring to life a darker art
Higher, higher
Hang my portrait for all to see
Higher, higher
But hide me away please
What are you hesitating over?
I have brought everything we need
I am no longer just a stranger
I'll be your model, so pay heed
This life is cruel, I'll be forgotten
It's time to take off all this weight
Leaving behind the place that's rotten
And let me live inside your portrait
To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had. Well, I wouldn't say that the music of "Section IV" defies genres... in my opionion, it belongs to the neo-prog genre without any doubt. But on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with that. The important thing is that the band contributes great new work to the genre, helping to keep it alive. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)

Discovered this album by investigating other peoples collections. Its worth getting just for the opening track alone. Such a beautiful melodious song. The whole album is good and well produced a great find. Lush arrangements give it that bit extra.
Fantastic piece of work. Brian White
