Trapped inside a box in the sky
Close your eyes to escape the city lights
And you drift away to ignore it all
Waken up by a thousand machines
Will the time we spend here pass us by?
Your summer's gone
Wasting away
Look for the shore
Are you going back to when you were young?
Seasons turn, you put on another coat
Yet the scenery's the same on every road
Work away until the candle goes out
Earphones on to escape the city crowds
Discovering this album has been one of the surprises of 2021, not least because I can't believe I hadn't found it before. It has echoes of some of the finest prog rock bands from the 1970s, with superb instrumentation and arrangements, and vocal harmonies that would be the envy of many a musician. followjohnreed
